Parks and Lakes Superintendent Bruce Surratt says gates 1 and 3 at Lake Jacksonville will be open on Saturday, February 9th and Saturday, March 9th.

Also, sales of seasonal boating permits will begin on March 1st at the City Clerk’s Office at 200 West Douglas. Proof of $25,000 liability insurance is required to purchase a permit.

Lake Jacksonville will officially open for the 2013 camping season on Friday, April 5th. The lake concession stand will open for business from 8 a-m to 6 p-m to receive camping and boating fees. All returning campers must have their 2013 fees paid by 6 p-m on April 30th.

The final day of the 2013 camping season will be Sunday, October 20th. For more information call Surratt at 479-4641.
