According to the Illinois State Police, it happened on Illinois Route 16 west of Gillespie.

Reports indicate 19-year-old Emily Hausman rear-ended a car driven westbound by 60-year-old Pamela Tomblingson of Gillespie. Police say Hausman was looking out the window while driving behind Tomblingson when the accident occurred.   

Hausman was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria. Her condition is unknown.

She was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
