Snow on the way Thursday

National Weather Service meteorologists say they’re tracking a storm system that could dump between 3 and 5 inches of the white stuff on most of West Central Illinois during the day Thursday.

The weather office says the precipitation should remain mostly snow on Thursday, but some light freezing drizzle could mix in with the snow Thursday night.

Meteorologists say those with travel plans anywhere in the Midwest, especially north and west of Jacksonville, should keep up to date with the latest information on this developing winter storm. We’ll continue to keep you updated on WLDS/WEAI.
