Mac graduate featured on Cherrios boxes this month

Degman and her book, "1 Zany Zoo" will be on select Cherrios boxes.
The 1979 MacMurray College graduate joins an exclusive list of athletes and celebrities this month by getting her name on a cereal box, albeit not the one you may be thinking of. Degman won Cherrios’ 2nd annual New Author Contest for her children’s book, “1 Zany Zoo” in 2009. The $5,000 prize came with a book deal from CBS-owned publisher Simon and Schuster.
The book is scheduled to be released in July.
Degman’s Cheerios box debut is this month, and shipments are already arriving in grocery stores. The boxes contain a small, paperback version of Degman’s book.
The Deaf Education major currently lives in the Chicago suburb of Vernon Hills with her husband and two sons.
