Eric Brooks joined WLDS-WEAI in June 2008.

Eric is a graduate of Valparaiso University, affectionately called ‘Valpo’ by those who know it best. He’s also a 2004 Maine South High School graduate.

Eric actually grew up in Louisiana, and then moved to Chicago’s northwest suburbs before transplanting into Jacksonville.

Among the stories he’s covered for WLDS-WEAI, the ones that stick out are Oscar-winner Richard Dreyfuss’ Illinois College visit in 2008 and every District 117 school board meeting.

Eric loves all things news, the Chicago White Sox and Bears, LSU Tiger Football and music.
